However, the same effect is detrimental for business cards or any other writing paper as the paper is unable to take the ink of the pen or pencil, making the person unable to take notes on it.

However, the glossiness may be a requirement for great images and photographs, it is negative for the reading. Hence, this paper may not be used if one wishes to add reading texts.
